Assalaamu Alaikum (Peace be with you)

Independence Day provides us an opportunity to reflect on our nations' rich history while also celebrating our 236th birthday this year. On this occasion all of us at the Islamic Speakers Bureau (ISB) wish you all a great and happy Fourth of July holiday. On July 4th, ISB will join fellow Americans of all beliefs and backgrounds to celebrate freedom and liberty.

While we enjoy the holiday, we should also reflect on some 4th of July traditions and how they can inspire us. One such tradition is that of inclusion and tolerance bestowed upon us by our nation's Founding Fathers. This tradition is on top of mind for all of us at the Islamic Speakers Bureau.

ISB's guiding philosophy reflects a theology of pluralism, expressed both in the Quran and Sunnah (traditions of the prophet), which emphasizes that human diversity is a part of God's Divine plan. These sources stress that the active engagement of diverse peoples and faiths is essential for the understanding, growth, and welfare of humanity.

This year, ISB has engaged in numerous interfaith activities and has inspired many groups to conduct outreach and interfaith activities in the DFW area with inclusion and diversity as a top priority. ISB is planning to have its first benefit dinner this year on September 16 with the theme 'Strengthening the Bridge' and plans to lay out a foundation for education, outreach and interfaith activities in the community.

Please remember, ISB's efforts are only possible through the generous support and contribution of its friends and supporters.  You can make a secure online donation through our website:
