Condolences, Prayers and Support After Boston Marathon and JFK Library Explosions
Tuesday, April 16, 2013

Dallas, TX. Islamic Speakers Bureau-DFW (ISB-DFW) along with the Dallas Fort Worth Muslim Community are deeply saddened by the tragic occurrences at the Boston Marathon and JFK Library. We stand in solidarity with our fellow Americans in expressing our outrage for the horrific explosions yesterday that left at least three dead and dozens injured. According to reports the blasts occurred after the top racers had completed the course, but thousands of others were still running.

Nadim Bashir, Imam of the East Plano Islamic Center and a certified speaker with ISB-DFW said, "Any attack against America is an attack against all Americans regardless of their faith or ethnicity. And all Americans are united in our revulsion at this horrible attack. As Americans and as Muslims, we are inspired by the values of mercy and justice central to our faith, and the American-Muslim community stands ready to help."

Our prayers and thoughts go out to the victims and their families, to the marathon organizers, runners and fans, and to the Boston community at large. The Boston Marathon is an iconic American event that draws thousands of athletes and their supporters worldwide. We stand with our fellow Americans with the people of Boston and pray for a speedy, yet thorough investigation that brings the perpetrators to justice. We call on Americans to be vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the proper authority to prevent anything affecting the security of our communities.
